At Accent Plumbing, we’ve been a family-owned plumbing company in Phoenix for over 60 years. A Story of Survival & Courage
Steve Faller Sr. was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1930, and lived through the hardships of World War II. As a teenager, he evaded Nazi recruitment by going into hiding. After the war, Hungary fell under Soviet control. In 1956, Steve joined the Hungarian Revolution to resist communist rule. When the uprising failed, he fled Budapest with his two-year-old son, Steve Jr., traveling by foot, bicycle, car, train, and boat to reach safety in America.
A New Life in Arizona
After arriving in the United States, Steve made his home in Phoenix in 1957, resuming the plumbing career he held in Hungary. His hard work, integrity, and expertise stood out, so much so that customers would continually call the office asking for “the plumber with an accent.”
A Legacy of Exellence
In 1963, Steve Sr. founded Accent Plumbing, building a company grounded in knowledge, honesty, and dedication to quality service. That legacy continues today, three generations strong. While the accent may be gone, the commitment to competence, diligence, and integrity remains at the heart of everything we do.
